Foster The People // Supermodel

Foster the people recently released their second full length album early march which many foster the people fans have been waiting dreadfully for because their last album Torches came out in 2011. As much as I can personally say that I love foster the people, I actually like their first album better. Don’t get me wrong, this album is great! It has been rated poorly by major music blogs and magazine reviews because this album didn’t have the WOW factor like Pumped Up Kicks brought to the table in 2011. The most popular song Coming Of Age which has hit the radio world wide has been in the top charts but not no no.1 single which is the 3rd track on the new album.

The album is more guitar driven and more of a rock band less than electronic tracks and you can hear Mark Foster’s voice more as how it is live rather than in studio recorded.

The tracks on the album are:
1. Are You What You Want To Be?
2. Ask Yourself
3. Coming Of Age
4. Nevermind
5. Pseudologia Fantastica
6. The Angelic Welcome of Mr. Jones
7. Best Friends
8. A Beginner’s Guide to Destroying the Moon
9. Goats in Trees
10. The Truth
11. Fire Escape

Now, this album has so much more diversity compared to Torches. You have their funky up kept beat in Are You What You Want To Be? and Best Friends but then you have this more acoustic, slower, deeper connection which is a side of Foster The People no one has seen yet. Personal high recommendation for that slower sound is Fire Escape. Extremely fantastic and a personal favorite to many of those who listened to this album.

Overall, Foster the People throughout another great album with a fun upbeat intro into the album ending it into a deep slow acoustic.
